Lego Birthday Banner

Today I’d like to show you a Lego birthday banner that I made earlier this year.

Lego Birthday Banner

I used the Silhouette to cut the rectangle shape for the banner flag pieces.   Added small holes at the top of the rectangles before cutting the shape so it would be quick to assemble later.   Then used my circle punch to cut out all the circles for the top of the rectangles.  I raised the circles with pop dots to make the shape as realistic to Legos.   The letters were also made with the Silhouette,  I elected a thick font and added a thin black outline printed before cutting the letters out.

I love the bright colors that a Lego theme offers.

  6. Hi. I love this idea and am planning on doing it for my son’s birthday coming up in a couple weeks. Can you tell me what materials were used to make the rectangles and circles? I’m not sure if I missed it or am just not hip to the lingo, but I didn’t seem to see it listed. Is it construction paper? Or some other fancy type of sheeting? And you used “pop dots” to fasten the circles. Got that part.
