Laurel Lane 2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.  They’ve sent me a link to view the top content, top commenters and other important stuff.

Since I am very into scorecards (these are exactly what I create at work for our business)  I couldn’t help resist (and enjoy) myself sharing this cute report with you.

image Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 22,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 5 Film Festivals

Below you’ll find the link to the fun infographic style report that WordPress created:

Here are my top three highlights from the report:  1. top content  2. top referrers and 3. top commenters.

Top Content:  What did readers find most interesting?

I never would have thought that the birthday party pinwheels or owl party gift bags would have been so popular to my readers.  These stats will help guide me to continue to create more content that will be of interest to all of the DIY crafters out there.  I can’t wait to show you what I’ve got planned for 2013.

Top Referrers:   What sites sent the most traffic to Laurel Lane?

Pinterest is great way to bring interested folks to your blog.  Especially the crafty people who love seeing photographs of art projects.   You never know which sites are going to link to your blog, it’s so much fun finding new traffic sources.

Top Commenters:  Most individual comments left over the year across all posts.

THANK YOU to my top commenters!   I am grateful for your support….Susan, Alice, Cally, Michelle & Shawna!

I love and appreciate all of the comments from ALL my readers. It is so much fun seeing what people say when coming by my site.

Claire should be on this list as a top commenter but unfortunately she sends me all of her comments via email.    Doing a quick tally I see she has made 27 comments in 2012.  Perhaps she’ll start doing them online in 2013?!

Happy 2013!  Can’t wait to see what the New Year brings to all of us.  May there be ample time for more crafting in 2013!!

  1. Awesome sister. You are BLOWING UP!! 2013 will be even bigger. Before you know it, you will have your own scrapbook magazine and product line. I can’t wait to see you grow this year.
