Today is Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas posts on Laurel Lane.
I’d like to share some simple gift tags that I made this week.
I used the the 3d poinsettia flower by Lori Whitlock. I love all of her flower designs.
The flower consists of three pieces stacked and a small brad through the middle. There’s also green leaves that are the fourth layer in the back.
Unfortunately I must need a new cutting mat so I couldn’t get the green cardstock to stay in place to cut the leaves. I think it still turned out fine and the tags made a nice touch to gifts.
Per the advice of a friend, I’ve since ordered myself a Christmas present from Amazon (two new cutting mats)! I don’t want to have this happen again when I am in the middle of a project.
I added the tags to some boxes of tasty local chocolates (made in Portland) with a short holiday wishes message.
The yellow brad creates a nice center of the flower and the brown hemp twine adds a rustic feel.
