Happy Mother’s Day! I’d like to share two sweet handmade art projects that were given to me by Gavin & Gwenyth today. I LOVE and will cherish both of these!
Gavin’s cute 4 year old hand print has been cut out and glued to the inside of the mat. It’s so beautiful. I am going to hang this on the wall of my office/scrapbook room! I think his teacher used the cricut (saw it sitting in the classroom this last week) to do the letters at the bottom and I love the personalized wrapping paper with his hands all over the outside. Thank you to Gavin & his creative teachers!!
Gwen’s teachers did the same thing and took her 10 month old fingers to make a bunch of flowers. She was pretty squiggly though so they had a hard time getting her pinky fingers. She was trying to grab the paper. Then they put her little foot on the back side.
Happy Mother’s Day to my two sweet creative mothers! I can’t wait to celebrate with you both over the next two weeks.
My mother-in-law is an amazing quilt maker & piano player. She’s super talented with constructing things with fabric & her sewing machine. She has made the grandkids beautiful blankets, clothes (Gwen’s cute nightgowns) and the latest thing is an awesome cape (I’ll share soon).
My mommy is a super talented, crafty woman who also likes to cook and paint (not just walls). She always did art projects with us when we were kids and was even the art docent (brought art to the classrooms and would discuss it with the class/do a project) volunteer at our elementary school. A few years ago, I found some handmade holiday cards she did in the 70’s with photos of the family and realized where I got the crafty bug that drove me to start making holiday cards in the 90’s (and on to many other crafts). She makes these adorable baby blankets for new babies (I’ll have to share sometime) that I’d love to learn how to make someday.
Happy Mother’s Day! We all love you so much!!
