3 Months Old!

At the 3 month point he was about 15 pounds and 26 inches.  He started wearing 3-6 month clothing in July, luckily it still fits and includes a lot of summer outfits.  I hope he can wear it for at least another month before moving to the next size!
I’ve posted photos from his 3rd month (July) in three albums:
We took a roadtrip to eastern washington/Idaho for the 4th of July and Gavin met two of his great-grandmothers.  For great-grandma Louise this is her 19th great-grandchild, amazing!  For great-grandma Margaret he is her first.  They were both thrilled to meet him for the first time.  He also met many aunts, uncles and cousins on the trip.  It was really wonderful.  He did well during the long car ride and we were happy for that.
Things really started to get easier being a new mother around week 9.  It’s getting more fun for me because he’s more expressive now and interactive.  Each day it just keeps getting better.  We’ve joined a PEPS new mommy group and meet once a week with mothers that live closeby.
The *highlight* of this month had to be the playdate with all of Gavin’s friends.  Since there are so many friends who have had babies recently, we invited everyone over for an afternoon playdate.  It was so much fun to have all the babies together and to talk with other new moms.  I am planning to do this one more time before I head back to work.  I am so thankful for all the advice & support I’ve gotten from the other moms.  It’s been really amazing how going through this together bonds us together.  I don’t think I could have gotten through all of this without them.
meeting my great-grandma and Aunt LIz for the first time…..they are special ladies.
