Today I’d like to show you another holiday layout. This two page layout is based of a sketch from Sketches for Scrapbooking vol 5 (Allison Davis). Thank you once again Allison for the inspiration.
The background paper follows the sketch but I’ve changed a bunch of other stuff. The sketch had 7 photos and here I’ve only used 4. I decided to enlarge the photo on the left page to 5×7 because I was only putting one on this page (instead of 5). I do like the times where I can have a larger photo on a layout. I don’t think I’ve ever done a layout where I just have one tiny wallet sized photo. I love seeing layouts where people can do this but I love my photos too much to ever go this reduced!
I’ve used Basic Grey’s Nordic Holiday collection once again for this layout. It’s the 5th layout I’ve created with this collection. Here’s a link to the other Nordic Holiday layouts.
If you do a lot of scrapbooking or card making, I highly encourage you to buy the collections. I find that I get more use out of these supplies because you have all the paper choices, tons of embellishments and color options. Not all companies sell everything in a package together but I always look at what’s available when making a purchase to ensure I get the right stuff. As I am writing this I am reminded of my closet and how I like to do this with clothes. If I like a shirt I might want to get it in 2 or 3 colors. Right Nicole?! If something is comfy I figure why not fully enjoy it! I guess I don’t differ that much in my scrapbooking shopping approach either.
I added these lovely felt ornaments to both sides since I didn’t put a photo in this spot. The two blue ornaments are my favorite! They are so soft and give the feeling of warmth on these cold days.
After this post, I just have one more layout to share from this collection. It’s my favorite one so I can’t wait to show you!

I love the fuzzy felt ornaments. Very unique!
