Here’s a birthday card that I made last week for one of my son’s friends. I used Valentine’s Day (Kissing Booth) pattern paper for this card. At first glance you wouldn’t normally think Birthday when you see the paper line because there are a lot of hearts. However, birthday girl really LOVES all shades of pink and so these papers were perfect to make a few party items.
I made some cupcake toppers & cupcake sleeves for the party so I used the three patterns you see here on the balloons. The only requirement I got from her mother was that I had to have pink in whatever I used.
The sentiment seen here is a sticker placed on ivory cardstock. I wanted to have more options than my rubber stamps for messages so I got some sticker sheets with sentiments that can be used on layouts or cards.
I used my circle punch to cut the balloons and then added a triangle at the bottom for the ends of the balloon. I popped the balloons and sentiment out with pop dots for added dimension. This also helped make the balloon strings hang nicely with the balloons being raised. Then I used my new pink twine for the balloon strings.
Next I’ll share the photos of the cupcake sleeves (first time making some) and the cupcake toppers.
Supplies: Pattern paper-Kissing Booth Collection (Better Half, You + Me, Cupid, Oh Darling), Ivory Cardstock, Pink Twine, Pop dots, Circle punch, Sticker-SRM Press Inc. Birthday Sentiments
Love how the color combinations turned out.
Thank you!
